Presenting to Business Leaders across Australia
Putney Breeze Director Chris Catto has had a busy schedule of professional speaking engagements
so far this year.
Most recently Chris was invited to speak at the 2012 IBM Business Partner
Symposium, where he delivered a seminar on the nexus between cash flow management and business
success. Chris spoke alongside leading business thinkers such as Phil Ruthven founder and chairman of IBIS
World. “It was a pleasure to present on behalf of a leading global organisation such as IBM; transferring
knowledge to IBM’s leading software partners in Australia” says Chris.

Chris’s has delivered a range of workshops and seminars on
business performance and financial management over the last six months.
His audience has ranged from professional in leading international
institutes, partners and managers in global organisations and SME business owners. Chris has also presented
to those in difficult socio-economic circumstances about the value of money and personal financial management
techniques.
So how does Chris manage such a varied audience? “Understanding
your brief and the demographics of our audience is the key, I’ve been lucky to have had broad life
experiences and an able to draw on that when moderating the message” say Chris. “When I’m presenting, for me
it’s all about knowledge transfer through story telling based on facts to deliver key learning
outcomes.”
In Chris’s view the skill of transferring knowledge is central to
being a good business advisor, as a fundamental philosophy for Putney Breeze is about “teaching the man to
fish”. With that sentiment, a central outcome of Putney Breeze’s services is equipping the decision makers
with the tools required to determine and fulfil their destiny.
